The steam locomotive of the Pacific type 2'C1' h2t was approved for a maximum speed of 85 km/h. With full water tanks and coal bunkers, a range of up to 200 km could be achieved. Practically every train in Austria was at some point equipped with class 77 locomotives.
After an eventful fifty years, it was decommissioned in November 1972.
